SIU-C chancellor says campus will have face to face classes during the second semester

CARBONDALE – Southern Illinois University – Carbondale chancellor Austin A. Lanehas outlined the universities plan for the second semester in a letter to students, faculty and staff.   Lane said classes will be held in a face-to-face setting with masks (preferably N95 or KN95) required in shared indoor spaces such as classrooms, lobbies and hallways.

Veterans Honor Flight to return to Washington D.C. in June

MARION, Ill. — Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois announced Tuesday the group will return to Washington D.C. in the Spring.   The all-volunteer group will conduct their eighth flight honoring veterans from Southern Illinois on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.   Founded in 2016, Veterans Honor Flight has transported over 520 veterans to Washington D.C.
