Mississippi River is expected to fall below flood stage today

ST. LOUIS – The National Weather Service in St. Louis has continued its flood warning for the Mississippi River at Chester. At 10:30 a.m. Wednesday the stage was 29.8 feet, 2.8 feet above the 27.0 foot flood stage.   The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 26.0
