JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri producers interested in conservation practices now have more choices than ever for receiving incentive payments. One of these opportunities is through the Missouri CRCL Project, which is a $25 million USDA-funded effort partnering University of Missouri with Missouri Corn Growers Association, Missouri Soybean Association, Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Missouri Department of Agriculture and other Missouri organizations to provide funding, education, and marketing assistance for farmers adopting selected conservation practices with crop and livestock production. Details on the conservation incentives available through the Missouri CRCL Project are at https://cra.missouri.edu/mo-crcl/
The program is currently offering approximately $2 million in incentive funds for cover crops and silvopasture during August on a first come first serve basis. Later in the fall enrollment will be offered for additional conservation practices including grazing and nutrient management.
