Groundbreaking held for Ste. Genevieve Middle School addition

STE. GENEVIEVE –  An informal groundbreaking ceremony was held last night for the new addition to the Ste. Genevieve Middle School.

Over the past few weeks, construction crews began dirt work for the addition, which will span three floors in order to make our school accessible. Along with an elevator, the three floors include: a corridor connected to the nurse’s office on the basement level; a new counseling suite on the first floor; and bathrooms on the second floor.

About the Ste. Genevieve Middle School project:

❖ At this time, construction on this project is anticipated to take approximately nine months.

An informal groundbreaking event was held during the SGMS Open House last evening. SGMS families had an opportunity to check out the site, pick up a shovel and a hard hat, and help move some dirt!
