Hill and Dale Garden Club holds design class

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Hill and Dale Garden Club members invited Laura D’Amico, Flower Design Pro from Buy the Bunch, to their August meeting in Lake Forest.

All participants got to make a fresh flower arrangement with sunflowers as their centerpiece.

“We had fun and learned a lot of nice tips from Laura,” said Club President Joan Wehner.

 

Hill and Dale Garden Club will hold its Fall indoor/outdoor plant sale  September 9, from 7 a.m. to noon, at the Ste. Genevieve Farmer’s Market at the Knights of Columbus, 600 West Market Street, Ste. Genevieve.

 

The club will have a raffle basket to help support their student scholarship for 2024.

They will also have a kid’s raffle basket with a Crayola theme.

 

The club’s mission is to encourage interest in all phases of home gardening, promote improved horticulture practices, inspire civic beauty and the conservation of natural resources.

 

The club currently maintains three Blue Star Monuments located in Ste. Genevieve City and County to honor Military Veterans and a Butterfly Garden at Market and Highway 61.

 

Club members also maintain Blue Bird Houses at the Bloomsdale rest stop on I-55.

 

The club is affiliated with the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
