A funeral will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 for 81-year-old Roger L. Martin of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Independence Care Center.
He was born November 8, 1941 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. to George and Geneva (Pirtle) Martin, who both preceded him in death.
Roger and Margaret Sikes were married in June of 1963 at St. Mary, Mo. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters: Karen (Darrell Jr.) Cassoutt of St. Mary, Mo., and Kathy (Joe) Lowry of Perryville, Mo.; a son: Wayne Martin of Perryville, Mo.; a sister: Judith Worley of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; four grandchildren: Nathan, Mary, Brittnee, and Mackenzee; three great-grandchildren: Mason, Jaxson, and Addelyn.
He was also preceded in death by a brother in law: Jimmie Worley; and a sister in law: Margorie Martin.
He was the head diesel mechanic for Tower Rock Stone.
Roger was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in St. Mary, the Masonic Lodge in St. Mary, Easter Star in St. Mary, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree, and the Moolah Shriners.
Visitation will be 3:30-8 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2023 and 8-10 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 81-year-old Roger L. Martin of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Don Estes officiating.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
