STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met Thursday in its temporary city hall at 44 Plaza Drive.

The aldermen approved a street closure request from Douglas Wicher of Drive Social Media to close Merchant Street between Second and Third Street from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, August 30th so they can film a girl riding a bicycle past the Orris Theater for a video production. The street will depict a scene in the 1940s.
The aldermen approved a street closure rquest from French Colonial America from 4-8:30 p.m. for a fundraising event. The street affected is South Main Street between Market and South Gabouri Streets.
The aldermen approved Resolution 2023-63 for the purchase of nearly $82,000 worth of furniture for the city hall and police department.
The aldermen approved Resolution 2023-64 reappointing Robert Donovan to the Ste. Genevieve Board of Adustment.
The aldermen approved Resolution 2023-65 reappointing Connie Steiger-Schwent to the Ste. Genevieve Board of Adjustment.
The aldermen gave final approval to an agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for public improvements along Route M.
The aldermen gave final approval to an ordinance for disclosing conflicts of interest and substantial interest for certain officials.
The aldermen gave final approval to an ordinance for restricting parking on the south side of Jefferson Street between Third and Fourth Streets.
The aldermen gave final approval to an ordinance amending the city code regarding fire prevention and protection.
The aldermen gave first-round approval to providing an easement to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for upgrading pedestrian facilities along Route M.
The aldermen gave first and second round approval to levying taxes for the year 2023.
