Terry Vernon Lohmann, 69, of Perryville entered his heavenly home on August 17, 2023.
He was born July 30, 1954, in Perryville, Missouri to Vernon O. and Hildegard Lillian (Verseman) Lohmann Guth.
Terry married Mary (Huber) on November 15, 1980, and they built a life together for the remainder of his years. Their union was blessed with three children-Christopher, Matthew and Amy-whom Terry loved dearly.
As an over-the-road truck driver for almost 50 years, Terry sacrificed precious time at home to provide for his family and others. His life of service didn’t end there. Terry also spent decades volunteering at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. He was an usher and helped maintain the sound board equipment, which he dutifully operated most every Sunday for over 25 years.
He was known as PawPaw by his favorite people-Wyatt, Noah, Annaleigh, Lydia, Walker and Caroline. His grandchildren will always remember that “PawPaw fix it,” as Terry could fix and repair nearly anything with his sharp mind and a bit of tinkering.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Perryville, MO; two sons, Chris (Mary Ellen) of Hartsburg, MO and Matt (Mandilyn) of Cape Girardeau, MO; a daughter, Amy (Andrew) Blouin of Altenburg, MO; two sisters, Pattie (Bruce) Akers of Caledonia, MO and Karen Lohmann of Perryville, MO; six grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by one grandson, Gannon, also awaiting him in heaven are his parents; a brother, Allen Lohmann; and stepfather, Lloyd Guth.
Visitation will be at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville, on August 24th, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will continue at the Immanuel Lutheran Church from 8:00 am until the time of service at 10 am on August 25, 2023 with the Rev. Matthew Marks and Rev. Joseph Schlie officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
