STE. GENEVIEVE – The August 4th Friday Art Walk in Ste. Genevieve will take place on August 25 from 6 to 9 p.m.
“It’s an opportunity to see some extraordinary original art, explore the town’s historic downtown district and meet artists and other art lovers and visitors,” a spokesperson for the event says. “It’s a relaxing and fun evening and makes for a great date night.”
Silver Sycamore Gallery is inviting art lovers to drop in “for a treat and a chat,” adding “You’ll be sure to discover a masterpiece or two you haven’t seen before!”
Music Art Love on N. Main will feature live music by Paul Hogenmiller and fine art by Beth Vogelsang and Chris Alex.
The Sainte Genevieve Art Center & Museum has mounted an all-new Art Guild Member Exhibit that includes paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel and acrylic, photography, and three-dimensional objects in wood, ceramic and fiber. Organizers say there is “Something for everyone.”
Brix Urban Winery will be open and from 7-8pm will host “Bumper to Bumper,” a stock car racing game. Tickets are available, but seating is limited for the game. The winery also will kick off its second annual label design competition, accepting entries until September 8. (See Facebook for details or visit the winery in person.) Artist Peggy Bay was the 2022 winner.
Other Art Walk venues include Only Child Originals, EE•KleK•Tix Gallery and Studio, Rust and Masquerade, all in the 100 block of N. Main.
Most Art Walk activities are free and open to everyone.
