William ‘Billy’ Joseph Stamm

A funeral will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 for 68-year-old William “Billy” Joseph Stamm of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

He was born June 8, 1954 in Bonne Terre, Mo., fhe son of Harry Austin Stamm, Jr. and Jewel Mae (Williams) Stamm, who both preceded him in death.

 

He is survived by two brothers: Robert “Bobby” (Sharon) Stamm of Farmington, Mo. and Marvin Edward (Jodi) Stamm of the state of Kentucky; six sisters: Evelyn Lyn (Larry) Ingram of Farmington, Mo., Brenda Sue (Danny) Schweigert of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Charlene (Eddie) Crook of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Vickie (David) Hahn of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Belinda Kay (Randy) Gibson of Doe Run, Mo., and Susan “Susie” Darlene (Kevin) Fox of Burlington Junction, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

 

He was also preceded in death by: a sister: Sharon Marie (James) Middleton; a brother: Kevin Dawayne Stamm; two nieces: Jennifer Lynn Gibson and Lucy Middleton, and a nephew: Jamie Middleton.

 

Billy loved sitting at his kitchen table, drinking his coffee, and listening to the scanner to see what is going on around town. In the afternoons, he would switch from his coffee to Milwaukee’s Best. He was a fan of country music and telling jokes. Billy would be the first to find things out and make sure that nobody messed with his family. He was a simple man with a big heart.

 

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

A funeral for 68-year-old William “Billy” Joseph Stamm of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. will be held at noon Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Gencvieve. The Clergy will be “Uncle Larry”.

 

Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington, Mo.
