Girls’ Basketball
JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran fell to Doniphan Saturday 58-31 in their district tournament. The Lady Crusaders end their season with a 13-13 record.
Track and Field
CHESTER — The Chester girls track team participated in the SIU Invite Friday and Saturday along with 31 other 1A-3A teams from across the region.
Chester individual results:
Emma Eggemeyer was fourth in shot.
Paige Vasquez was fifth in the triple jump.
Jazzi Merideth was eighth in the 60-meter hurdles.
The 4×400 relay came in 10th (Jazzi Merideth, Mabry Wingerter, Josalynn Anaya and Gianna Eggemeyer).
Gianna Eggemeyer also came in 13th in the 400.
The 4×200 relay team came 14th (Jazzi Merideth, Mabry Wingerter, Cailey Marie and Gianna Eggemeyer).
The Yellow Jackets travel to the Murphysboro COED Meet Saturday, March 17.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve opens its track and field season Saturday, March 18 at the Frozen Invite at Notre Dame.
JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran also runs at the Frozen Invite.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville travels to Hillsboro at 2:30 Monday, March 20.
Softball
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle opens its season Friday at 2:30 with a jamboree at home. Ste. Genevieve is among the teams taking part.
CHESTER – Chester opens its softball season Monday, March 13 vs DuQuoin.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve opens its softball season at the Brookland Bearcat Blast in Jonesboro, Arkansas Friday and Saturday, March 17 and 18.
Baseball
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve says it will open its season Saturday with a baseball jamboree at home at 10 a.m. with Perryville and St. Vincent also taking part. However, Perryville says they will host a jamboree with teams to be announced at 11 a.m Saturday.
CHESTER – Chester opens its baseball season Tuesday, March 14 vs Marissa.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle opens its season March 17th with visiting De Soto at 3:30 p.m.
Girls Soccer
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent opens its girls soccer season Tuesday, March 14th in a jamboree at 4:30.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville has a jamboree Tuesday, March 14th at a location to be announced.
JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran opens its girls soccer season Friday, March 17th at 5 p.m. at Farmington.
Boys golf
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve opens its boys golf schedule Monday, March 20 with a home tri-match with Windsor and St. Pius.
JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran opens its boys golf season Monday, March 20 in a quad match at home with Cape Central, Dexter and Sikeston.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville opens its golf schedule at 3:30 Tuesday March 21st at Windsor.
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent opens its boys golf season in a tri-match with Perryville and Ste. Genevieve March 22.
