A funeral will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 for 80-year-old Ethel Turley Gross who passed away May 10, 2022, at her residence.
Ethel was born January 22, 1942, in Bonne Terre, the daughter of Alfred Dodson and Mabel Iva ‘Wigger’ Dodson who both preceded her in death.
She married Ralph Turley. He preceded her in death in 2013.
She is survived by her second husband: Kent Gross of Farmington; a son: Jason Turley of Arnold, Mo., three grandchildren: Paige Turley of Farmington; Dylan Turley of Farmington and Emersyn Gross of Newton, Iowa; a step-daughter: Niki (and Rob) Matthes, of Newton, Iowa; a sister: Trudy (Mrs. Don) Brown, of Farmington; a brother-in-law: Sam (and Deanna) Gross of Davenport, Iowa; a sister-in-law: Lynnette (and Doug) Vollers of Marshalltown, Iowa; a daughter-in-love: Melissa (and Mark) Mills of Farmington; numerous nieces, nephews, very special friends, and a very special niece.
She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jodee, four brothers and two sisters.
Ethel was a longtime faithful, active member and Sunday School teacher of various ages of Farmington First Baptist Church.
Ethel was a member of the Christian Women’s Club and former member of the Art Guild in Ste. Genevieve.
She worked for Dr. Dennis for 13 years before becoming Director of Beauty Control for over 25 years.
Ethel spent her spare time painting beautiful artwork.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 14th at Farmington First Baptist Church.

Private Inurnment later at Three Rivers Cemetery, rural Bonne Terre, under direction of C Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home, Taylor Chapel, Farmington.
