A private service will be held at a later date for 72-year-old Dennis G. Kalmer of Red Bud, Ill., who passed away at 3:50 pm, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence.
He was born August 2, 1949 in Red Bud, the son of Gregory James and Alice (nee Winkelmann) Kalmer who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter: Kelly Kalmer and her husband – Greg Teets of Manchester, Mo.; a brother: Gary Kalmer and his wife – Irene of Florissant, Mo.; a sister: Kathleen Mueth and her husband – Hal of Prairie du Rocher, Ill.; two grandchildren: Benjamin Teets and Elizabeth Teets and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dennis had worked as a mechanic for the Hampton-Hentscher Ford dealership in Red Bud, Ill. for more than 30 years.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Dennis enjoyed gardening, playing cards and woodworking.
It was Dennis’s wishes to be cremated.

Memorials may be made in Dennis’s memory to Gilbert Cemetery in care of the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud.
