Wanda M. Emmendorfer, 78, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
She was born April 20, 1948 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Leo and Doris (Reddick) Bishop.
She and Linus Emmendorfer, who preceded her in death, were married on July 29, 1983 in Paducah, KY.
Wanda retired from the Civil Service and was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.
She loved fly fishing, quilting and crocheting in which she enjoyed sharing her talent and creations with others. Her love for animals was broad and endearing. Wanda always wanted to give and help wherever she could, and her heart was focused on the Lord in all she did.
Survivors include two daughters, Michele (Todd) Ransom, Melinda (Chris) Hill; step-daughter Karen (Curtis) Shepherd, two step-sons, Edward (Loretta) Emmendorfer, Kenneth (Lisa) Emmendorfer, two brothers, Rodney (Sheila) Bishop, Steve (Kim) Bishop; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Shane Blechle.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 8:00 am to 9:50 am on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. Christopher Seah officiating.
Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Mac’s Mission or Saxony Lutheran High School.
