Elizabeth “Betsy” Franklin, 73, of Oak Ridge, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at The Villas of Jackson.
She was born January 14, 1953 in Perryville, MO to Chalmer Joseph and Zelma Veronica (L’Hote) DuBois.
Betsy and Cecil Franklin were married April 8, 1972 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. He survives her in Oak Ridge.
She retired as a medical assistant from Jackson Primary Care where she truly loved the patients she cared for. Betsy enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, hosting holidays and cooking for her family. She loved family vacations including the beach, Disney World and visiting many National Parks. Above all, she really loved her grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Additional survivors include her husband, two sons, James “Jim” Franklin of Nashville, TN, Greg (Amy) Franklin of Jackson, MO; four brothers, Chalmer DuBois Jr., Alvin (Caren) DuBois, Barry (Linda) DuBois, Mike (Gee) DuBois; two sisters, Debby (Larry) Berkbuegler, Suzy (Mike) Scheller; two grandchildren, Andrew Franklin, Carson Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 8:00 am to 9:30 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Rev. Rev. Fred Wandera C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
