STE. GENEVIEVE – Alderman Joe Steiger conducted Thursday’s meeting in the absence of Mayor Brian Keim.
The meeting convened at 6 p.m. in the city hall board room.
All eight aldermen were in attendance.

May 2026 Financial Report
Old Business:
Bill No. 4731, authorizing the city administrator to enter a broker agreement with Lakenan Insurance was given final approval on a 8-0 vote.
New Business:
Resolution 2026-40. stating intent of the Ste. Genevieve Police Department to apply for a grant with the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) hiring grant was given voice vote approval.
Resolution 2026-41, appointing Dan Schulze to the Ste. Genevieve Tourism Tax Commission was approved on a voice vote.
The regular meeting was followed by a work session.
