SGHS hosts first French Honor Society induction ceremony

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve High School has once again opened its doors to international visitors through its long-standing partnership with the organization FACES (French American Cultural Exchange Service).

Seven students from France joined the SGHS community from October 17 through October 30, arriving just in time to experience the excitement of the Homecoming football game. During their stay, they lived with host families from the high school and shadowed their American “siblings” through a full schedule of classes and activities.

Throughout their visit, the students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in American high school life, explore local culture, and build lasting friendships with their hosts.

SGHS has partnered with FACES since 2016, hosting French students nearly every year—with the exception of 2020 and 2021.

The program continues to offer both visiting and local students a valuable opportunity to learn about another culture, practice language skills, and strengthen international connections.
