SGHS softball, baseball score victories

STE. GENEVIEVE – The softball Dragons defeated Valle Catholic 6-0 in the semifinals of the MAAA Conference Tournament! The Dragons are playing in the championship on Thursday at 7:30 PM versus West County at MAC. Go, Green!

SGHS Varsity Baseball got a conference win over Park Hills Central by the final score of 3-0 behind a combined no-hitter from Maddox Sutton who threw six innings and Dominic Johnson, who came in to close it out. Great job, Dragons!

 

SGHS boys golf is second at Farmington

STE. GENEVIEVE — SGHS boys golf had a tri-match yesterday with Farmington and North County and finished in second place.

Team scores:

Farmington scored 167,

SG scored 171, and

North County scored 177.

Leading the way for the Dragons was senior Luke Ferranto, who fired a 4-over 40  to secure an impressive second-place overall finish.

Close behind him was junior Chase Yamnitz, continuing his strong season with a 41 (+5), placing third overall and giving Ste. Genevieve two golfers in the top three.

The middle of the lineup provided key support, as juniors Mason Trollinger and Colton Roth each posted 45 (+9), tying for 10th place and helping anchor the team score. Sophomore Brayden Pfaff added a 49 (+13), finishing 15th, while senior Madden Wolk carded a 52 (+16) to place 17th.
