STE, GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen gave a proposed 154-unit single family home development final approval at its meeting Thursday evening.

The votes on the enabling measures was unanimous on each.
The development will be constructed by McBride Homes on a 49-acre site on farmland next to Progress Parkway.

A measure authorising the city to join the Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association Bill No. 4679 was passed on both readings. Alderman Steiger opposed the second reading, but voted in favor of the measure on second reading – 51:48
The regular session was followed by a work session 53:48 which included a discussion of sewer back up issues affecting three residences in the city 54:05 and a proposed expansion of the school zone and setting of a new fines for speed offenses in the zone 1:37:24
