Mississippi River was expected to crest at 32.2 early this morning

ST. LOUIS – The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a flood warning for the Mississippi River at Chester. At 11:30 a.m. Sunday the river was at 32.1 feet, 5.1 feet above the 27.0 foot flood stage.   The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.5 feet around midnight Sunday.
