Brenda Louis Barnett passed away at her home in Perryville, Missouri on June 6th, 2026
She was born in Perryville, MO on August 28, 1962 and was the daughter to the late Claude & Arlene Reitzel
On July 3rd, 1993 she married LeRoy Barnett Sr and for the next 32 years they built a life together in Perryville.
Brenda was a stay-at-home mother and wife and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t with her family, she spent time shopping or gardening.
Those left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her two stepsons: LeRoy (Janet) Barnett Jr., Christopher (Amber Crites) Barnett, her three children: Tyson (Kalynn) Kirn, all of Perryville, MO. Christina (Michael) Downen and Charlena (Jeff) Voudrie both of Jackson, MO.
Brenda was blessed with many grandchildren: Dalton Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Tryton (Nadia) Barnett, Tegan Barnett, Areonna Kirn, Westyn Kirn, Hadlee Kirn, Caidyn Downen, Serenity Sutter, Alana Sutter & Kye Voudrie.
Siblings include Mel (Cindy) Kirn, Steve (Katie) Reitzel, Regina (Dennis) Schmidt of Perryville, MO. Richard (Connie) Kirn of Mesa, AZ. Olanda Schumer, Teresa (Sam) Upchurch of Marble Hill, MO. as well as many nieces & nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, LeRoy Barnett Sr. her parents, Claude & Arlene Reitzel, sister Joyce Jones and brothers Ronald Kirn, Daniel Kirn and Jerry Long.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
