– Bake Sale is scheduled for September 12, 2026!

OLD BUSINESS:

Cape Veterans Breakfast – 13 veterans in attendance; they are working to grow the turnout, and they gave us information about scholarships available

Mayfest Duties
– There are still open spots in the afternoon; please sign up!
If you are signed up and you won’t be able to make it, you will be responsible for finding your replacement.
– We have a hat, sash, and some books. We will buy any extra books we need once we have a finalized number of babies.

– We still need to purchase gift cards for the winners: First Place – $100, Second – $50, Third – $25

– If families pick up their materials, they will receive a book. If they are not able to pick their materials up, we will mail them without a book.

Presenters

– Our budget allows us to provide $100 for any of the organizations that have spoken as part of our programming.

• Dana Hogard moved to donate $100 to each of the organizations: The Auxiliary, 24/7 (Perryville Girls Group), and ROX (RulingOurExperiences). Ashton Doran seconded. Motion passed

NEW BUSINESS:

State Convention Report
– Brenda Smith attended the state convention. There were 14/16 chapters represented, and there are 389 members total.
– The budget was tabled until September.

Janet Schuessler has attained Gold Sister status for 50 years of membership in ADK.

– Several sisters were recognized for their years of membership, and Beta Lambda was recognized as a six pearl chapter.
– Joyce Moll moved to reimburse Brenda Smith for her convention fees. Brenda Glaus seconded. Motion carried.

Committees
– Please plan on joining at least 2 committees!

Meeting Dates:
Originally – May 5, 2026
Jayne Bohnert made a motion to move our meeting from May 5, 2026 to May 12, 2026. Patty Wenzel seconded. The motion carried.
New date – May 12, 2026

We will discuss the August meeting in May.
