Saint Francis to offer Camp STAT for local high school students

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Saint Francis Healthcare System is once again hosting Camp STAT, a weeklong opportunity offering high school students a “behind the scenes” look into healthcare and hands-on learning experiences.

Participants will learn skills and see them applied in real healthcare situations, receive training to help in emergent situations, become certified in basic first aid and CPR, as well as experience various learning opportunities to help further develop their passion for healthcare.

Campers will interact with many healthcare professionals during the hands-on learning experiences to help fuel their passion for healthcare. Two sessions will be offered – June 3-6 and June 24-28 – to 30 campers each session.

The Camp will meet at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau each day.

The cost of Camp is a non-refundable $75 and includes daily lunch and snacks.

Registration for Saint Francis colleagues and the general public opens at 9 am on Monday, March 4, and participants will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
