Boys Basketball
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent lost Puxico 72-49 in a Class 2 sectional game. The loss ends the Indians season.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve has the top seed in the Class 4 District 1 boys basketball tournament.
Ste. Genevieve plays Fredericktown Thursday at 5 p.m.
Fredericktown defeated Doniphan 57-53 last night.
The tournament is at Ste. Genevieve.
Girls Basketball
PERRYVILLE – Perryville has the second seed in the Class 4 District 2 tournament and will play third seed Ste. Genevieve at 7 p.m. tonight at Park Hills Central.
ILS Lady Warriors finish sixth in the state
PERRYVILLE – The ILS Lady Warriors A team in Perryville earned their spot at the LSAM State tournament in Jefferson City.
They competed in five games this weekend and took sixth in the state.
One member of the team, Lucy Allen, a seventh grader at ILS, scored her 1000th point during the state tournament.
These have been tallied during ILS games since beginning basketball in 5th grade.
