Ste. Genevieve woman escapes injury in St. Louis traffic crash

JEFFERSON CITY — A 20-year-old Ste. Genevieve woman escaped injury in a traffic crash Sunday evening in St. Louis County.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Bryna E. Blum was the driver of one of two cars involved in the crash on Hanley Road at I-64. She was unhurt in the crash. The driver of the second vehicle involved, 54-year-old Joan C. Sheets of St. Louis had minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

 

The patrol reports Blum was the driver of a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu which was stopped, attempting to make a left turn onto southbound Hanley Road from westbound I-64. A 2015 Chrysler 200 driven by Sheets was northbound on Hanley Road and struck the Malibu.

 

The crash happened about 6:40 p.m.

 

The patrol says both drivers were buckled up.

 

The Malibu had moderate damage, while the 200 had extensive damage.
