A private funeral will be held for 70-year-old Leander Doyle Brown Jr. of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021.
He was born July 7, 1951 in Tipton, Tennessee to L.D. and Ruth Jane (Atkins) Brown Sr., who both preceded him in death.
He and Sharon M. Schmidt Holifield were married on November 7, 1998. She survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by a step-son: Brad (Brenda) Holifield of Perryville, Mo.; a sister-in-law: Joyce Favier of High Ridge, Mo.; a brother-in-law: Paul (Tammy) Schmidt of Perryville, Mo.; two step-grandchildren: Chad Huber and Amanda (Eric) Granito; four step-great grandchildren: Zackary, Trinity, Kaleb and Aubree; five nephews: Rick Favier, Rocky Favier, P.J. Schmidt, Westley (Jill) Barnett and Josh (Abigail) Stevens.
He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Charleen Stevens; and a brother-in-law: Gerald Schmidt.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Perryville.
Doyle had been very active as a scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts.
He loved reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Doyle loved spending time with his grand-pup Sofie.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021 and 8-9:30 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 70-year-old Leander Doyle Brown Jr. of Perryville will be private for the family only.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
