CACFP Mobile Market held

The event is made possible by the St. Louis Area Food Bank.  The event is sponsored by the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry (CACFP). 

Alvin Petrowske checks clients in at the September 2021 Mobile Market held at the Cohen Complex in Chester.  Petrowske is the first face that clients see when the arrive at the Mobile Market events held the fourth Wednesday of each month. He is a long time volunteer for the event and does an excellent job of providing identification to the client’s automobiles so they can be issued the proper quantities of food at the distribution.  For the  September event Petrowske welcomed 95 clients and provided them with the identification to enable them to receive a wide variety of food items provided by the St. Louis Area Food Bank.  For the month, the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry served 144 households with 368 individuals.  Donations of dry and canned pastas, tuna fish and canned fruit are need for the pantry at this time.  Jim Beers Photos

At the September Mobile Market clients received Watermelon, potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, various meats, chips, juices, instant delight coffee creamer, Silk milk product, butter, yogurt  and miscellaneous other items.
