Missouri Conservation Commission Action – July Meeting

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Conservation Commission met July 9 for a closed executive session at Dunn Ranch in Eagleville and July 10 for its regular open meeting at Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany. Commissioners attending the open meeting in person were:

The Commission received the following presentations or reports:

  • Director’s Comments — Jason Sumners, Director
  • Nature and Health — Roger Still, Executive Director, One Health Us; and Tina Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer, Harrison County Community Hospital
  • Northwest Region Updates — Bryan Gragg, Northwest Regional Administrator
  • Grand River Grassland Priority Geography — Andi Rittel, Private Land Conservationist; and Jonathan McCulley, Wildlife Biologist
  • Report of the Regulations Committee — Laura Conlee, Deputy Director and Chair of Regulations Committee
  • Financial Report — Kim Hansen, Chief Budget Officer

 

ADMINISTRATION

The Commission:

  • Approved items on the Consent Calendar.
  • Approved the donation of approximately 6.1 acres of the west side of Cabool Towersite to Texas County Emergency Response Services and disposal of 9.6 acres of the east side of Cabool Towersite via auction.
  • Approved the suspension or revocation of one or more hunting, fishing, or trapping privileges of 10 individuals for cause or court order:
  1. Daniel Aviles, Joplin, Hunting, 1 Year;
  2. Dakota Belden, Stover, Hunting, 1 Year;
  3. Jonathan Belt, Bakersfield, Hunting, 6 Years;
  4. Antione M. Jackson, Joplin, Fishing, 2 Years;
  5. Amanda J. Littrell, Mexico, Hunting/Fishing/Trapping, 1 Year;
  6. David L. McIntire, Moberly, Fishing, 2 Years;
  7. Solis O. Perez, East St. Louis (IL), Fishing, 1 Year;
  8. Robert J. Remster, Viburnum, Hunting, 1 Year;
  9. Aaron J.W. Seward, Hazelwood, Hunting, 1 Year; and
  10. Brandon M. Slayden, Martinsburg, Hunting/Fishing/Trapping, 1 Year.
  • Elected the following Commission officers:
