DOROTHY AGNES BRAUN, 93, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 5:30 am, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at La Bella of Freeburg.

She was born to the late Lawrence and Hazel (nee Heinz) Stork on March 6, 1933, in Walsh, Illinois.

Dorothy married Harold “Red” C. Braun on November 22, 1951 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Walsh, Illinois; he preceded her in death on May 1, 2018.

Dorothy loved spending time with God and family first. Her most treasured times were with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great granddaughter. She always would ask about the next time we would be together. Dorothy loved playing cards and bingo with family and friends, where laughter and friendly competition were always part of the fun. She also found great joy in quilting, creating beautiful handmade pieces that will be treasured for generations. A devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Dorothy proudly cheered them on through every season.

She was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church, Walsh, Illinois. There she served as President on the Altar Society for many years.
