This month’s Fourth Friday Artwalk in Ste. Genevieve is May 22

STE. GENEVIEVE – On Friday May 22nd, from 6 to 9 pm, come downtown and check out Ste. Genevieve’s art galleries and studios in a relaxed open-house atmosphere.

There are nine participating art venues, five of which are located on North Main Street in Little Bohemia.

At Music Art Love, Christine Alexander offers her own music themed art for sale.  For the art walk, she is hosting local painter Iris Vincent and there will be live music by blues/rock musician Bryan Therlin.

At E.KleK.Tix Studio and Gallery, artist Jean Rissover creates and sells oil paintings.  She is highlighting garden themed art and running a special spring sale.  Stop in for conversation and a glass of wine with Jean.

Only Child Originals and Rust Artisan Shop will both be open featuring the jewelry and recycled metal art of Sam Conlon.

New art studio and gallery CJoy Art Works will be open.  Artist Christina Joy Elsen will have a new kiln load of wares for sale-mostly small dishes and ornaments.  Stop in and check out Ste. Genevieve’s newest studio/gallery.

One block south on Main Street, Two Rivers Gallery will be open with the work of nationally acclaimed artist Bryan Haynes. Two Rivers is hosting a special exhibit featuring the paintings of Charles Rhinehart, with several of his works available for purchase.

The other three participating art spaces are a few blocks away, clustered around the courthouse square.

The Art Guild has the spring member show on display in the gallery with paintings, pottery, prints, fused glass and more.  The Guild is looking for people to come in and vote for their favorite painting from the Paint-in-the-Garden event.

At the Silver Sycamore Gallery of Fine Art there will be new pieces from several of the gallery artists.  There will be an unveiling of a new ink drawing by Andrew Naeger.  And the gallery is having a display and demonstration of cigar box guitars.

Our final participant is ASL Pewter.  You will always find a broad array of original pewter pieces cast by artists Tom and Pat Hooper.  This week ASL Pewter is hosting a very special guest artist, Kenik Wood Work.  Kenik Wood Work will be displaying and selling handmade wooden tables, trunks, cutting boards, and wooden wall art.  All the pieces are made from wood harvested on the Kenik’s property here in Ste. Genevieve County.  Come out and support this new local fine woodworking business!

The Art Walk is FREE and all are welcome!
