Du Quoin, Ill.– The countdown is on! In just over one week, Progressive American Flat Track returns to the legendary DuQuoin State Fairgrounds for one of the most iconic events of the year — the Memphis Shades Du Quoin Mile, coming up Saturday, July 5.
Known as the “Magic Mile,” the Du Quoin Mile is one of the most historic and thrilling tracks in American Flat Track racing. With its wide, fast surface and rich tradition, it’s a fan-favorite stop that consistently delivers some of the most exciting racing of the season.
The track has hosted professional flat track racing dating back to the 1950s, with legendary champions like Scott Parker, Chris Carr, and Ricky Graham having carved their names into the clay of Southern Illinois.
This year’s event marks the first Mile race of the 2025 AFT season, setting the stage for bar-to-bar, elbow-to-elbow action as the world’s best flat track racers go full throttle in pursuit of glory.
The event is promoted by Track Enterprises, in Macon, IL, which also has promoted the stock car races during Labor Day weekend for over 30 years.
