Delores Mae Roth

A funeral will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 for 88-year-old Delores Mae Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at her home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo., surrounded by her family.

 

She was born February 3, 1936 in Sainte Genevieve, Mo., a daughter of Ethel Louise Hauck and William J. Hauck who both preceded her in death.

 

She married Robert Roth on February 1, 1956. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.

 

She is also survived by two sons: Robert R. “Scud” (Linda) Roth Jr. of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., and David J. (Sheila) Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; daughter: Elois A. “Ellie” Roth of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; grandchildren: Joshua (Caitlyn) Roth, Mallory (Eric Chang) Roth, Jessie (Makhail Daya) Roth, Tiffany (Justin Dearing) Baker, Daniel (Bonnie) Baker, Calyn Roth, Susan (Jared) Nigrin, Benjamin Roth, Mary Roth, Peter Roth; Great-Grandchildren, Lilly and Nora Roth, Bailey and Cheyanne Ervin, and baby Nigrin on the way; and special nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by her brother: Robert J. Hauck; a sister: Anna Marie Hauck; and a daughter: Judith L. Hale.

 

Delores was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Teacher’s Honor Society and Red Hat Society. She was a dedicated teacher and influenced many lives throughout her thirty year teaching career. Delores was an avid horse enthusiast that started at a very young age. She enjoyed traveling, visiting 48 states on her husband’s motorcycle, and going on girl trips with her daughters. Delores spent countless hours on bleachers following her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s activities.

 

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

A funeral for 88-year-old Delores Mae Roth of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home. The Rev. Anthony Gerber will officiate.

 

Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

Memorials may be made to Sainte Genevieve Museum Learning Center or charity of your choice.
