A funeral will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 for 89-year-old Vallie L. “PeeWee” Janet of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Perry County.
He was born February 9, 1935 in Perryville, Mo. to Vallie Jospeh and Alma Matilda (Blandford) Janet, who preceded him in death.
Vallie and Cecilia Alleen Janet were married June 27, 1964 at St. Marys Seminar in Perryville, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters: Valerie (Jeff) Klein of Perryville, Mo., and Julie (Van) Naeger; two sons: Michael (Shelly) Janet and Nicholas (Jennifer) Janet of Perryville, Mo.; a brother: Melvin “Chip” (Nancy) Janet of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 10 grandchildren: Taylor (Jordan) James, Matthew Klein, Lucas (Shea) Janet, Emma (Damian) Jokerst, Danielle (Josh) Bauwens, Andrew (Maria) Naeger, Gabriel Naeger, Abigail Naeger, Samuel Janet, Alex Janet; six great-grandchildren, Margo James, Addison Naeger, Reid and Lennon Jokerst, Elaina and Brooklyn Bauwens, and Addison Naeger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law.
He served in the United States Navy.
Vallie worked as an industrial engineer.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post #133, and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be 7:30-9:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 89-year-old Vallie L. “PeeWee” Janet of Perryville, Mo. will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Entombment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimers Association, St. Vincent or Immanuel Lutheran Schools in Perryville.
