PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent boys basketball coach Bruce Valleroy announced Monday the following boys basketball players made All-Conference and All-District.

Youth Wrestling
STE. GENEVIEVE – The 2023-2024 boys’ Sainte Genevieve Youth Wrestling season has come to an end with an incredible finish.
This year team had the largest number of state qualifiers and also the most medalists in a single year.
The team finished 25th out of 149 teams (14 spots higher than last year.)
The team brought home six medals this year:
Keaton James (2nd place 10u 50lbs)
Sawyer Edwards (4th place 10u 50lbs)
Nolan “Squeaker” Rayoum (2nd place 10u 55lbs)
Jack Browne (4th place 12u 75lbs)
Collin Schweiss (4th place 10u 120lbs)
Eli Kertz (6th place 8u 85lbs)
The final tournament of the year will be Girls’ State in Springfield on March 30th.

St. Vincent Athletic Hall of Fame plans seventh annual induction
PERRYVILLE – The St. Vincent Athletic Hall of Fame are conducting its seventh induction ceremony March 23.
The inductees are: Gary Wengert, Kayla Seabaugh-Sohn, coach Paul Sauer, the 2001 state champion golf team , volunteer Linus Prost.
There will be an open house at the St.Vincent gym at 3:30 p.m., mass for those who wish at 4:30 p.m., the doors will open at the Perryville Elks Lodge at 5:30 p.m. There will be a meet and greet until 6:30 p.m. Meal at 6:30 p.m., with the induction to follow.
The cost is $25 per person for reservations call St. Vincent office 573-547-4300 with name, numbers , and phone number.
Baseball
CHESTER – Chester plays at Marissa today at 4:30 p.m.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle hosts Greenville Friday at 4:30.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville opens its regular season at home with Red Bud at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve opens the regular season with a varsity doubleheader with Orchard Farm and Hillsboro at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent opens its regular season at Fredericktown with Marquand-Zion Monday.
Softball
CHESTER – Chester was scheduled to play at DuQuoin Monday afternoon, but the score was not reported.
The Lady Jackets play at Marissa today at 4:30 p.m.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve plays at Jonesboro, Arkansas at the Brookland Bearcat Blast Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle hosts Park Hills Central Monday at 4:30.
Track and field
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle travels to Fredericktown Friday.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve travels to the Frozen Invite at Cape Notre Dame Saturday.
CHESTER – Chester is away Tuesday, March 19 at 4 p.m.
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent travels to Saxony Lutheran Saturday, March 23.
Golf
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve hosts Windsor and St. Pius Monday at 3:30.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville hosts Windsor and Jefferson Tuesday, March 19 at 3:30.
