There will be no service for 72-year-old Larry W. Hitzemann of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 9:51 am, Monday, March 4, 2024 at his brother’s residence in Red Bud, Illinois.
He was born July 24, 1951 in Red Bud, son of Walter E. and Wilma (nee Koester) who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by a brother: Wayne (Brenda) Hitzemann of Red Bud, Ill., a niece: Katelynn Sue Hitzemann; a nephew: Zachery Wayne Hitzemann; two step nieces: Renae (Chris) Stodt and Becky (Edward) Braun; a step nephew: Charles (Rachel) Morgan; and several step great nieces and great nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister: Debra Sue Pittman, and a sister-in-law: Lisa Hitzemann.
Larry worked at the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Wentzville, Missouri from 1969-1999.
Larry enjoyed muscle cars. He was a big follower of World of Outlaws and supported Sprint Car Hall of Frame. He enjoyed watching local sprint, midget, and stock car races.
He was a collector of model cars, tractors, and bullet pencils.
He was of the Lutheran Faith.
At Larry’s request, he will be cremated with no services.
