Victoria ‘Vickie’ Anne Buchheit

A funeral will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 for 73-year-old Victoria “Vickie” Anne Buchheit of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at Mercy Perry Hospital.

She was born December 3, 1950 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to Hubert A.and Stella (Feltz) Pingel who preceded her in death.

Vickie and Gary J. Buchheit were married on May 8, 2010 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Perryville. He survives.

She is also survived by a son: Benjamin (Kimberly) Pingel; two step-daughters: Angela L. (Brad) Smith and Jenny M. (Aaron L) Hiatt; a brother: Van Pingel; a sister-in-law: Sharon Pingel; four grandchildren: Mirra Pingel, Isabella Pingel, Reagan Pingel, and Tristan Pingel; five step-grandchildren: Kyle J. Smith, Dylan M. Smith, Abigail A. Hiatt, Aaron J. Hiatt, and Nicholas Guertin; and a brother-in-law: Earl W. Buchheit.

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Terry Pingel.


She worked as a secretary for the Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Mo.

She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, St. Vincent dePaul Eucharist Adoration Adorer, Extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, V.F.W. Post No. 4282 Auxiliary, American Legion Post No. 133 Auxiliary, and the National MS Society.

Her faith, family and friends were the most important things in Vickie’s life. She loved giving her time and talents to others.

Visitation will be from 8-9:45 am Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.

A funeral mass for 73-year-old Victoria “Vickie” Anne Buchheit of Perryville, Mo. will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno with Rev. Joe Geders C.M.officiating.

Burial will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Perryville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society.
