A funeral will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 for 66-year-old Sylvia “Bebop” Helm of New Offenburg, Mo. who passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at her home in New Offenburg, Mo.
She was born October 18, 1957 in St Louis, Mo., the daughter of Clarence Helm and Viola (DeRoin) Helm, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by a brother: John (Dianna) Helm of Doe Run, Mo.; two sisters: Claudia Cole of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., Evelyn Seymour of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; great great great nieces and nephews; and a special niece and caregiver: Nikisha Porter
She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Jack Helm, Vernon Helm, Clarence Helm, and Edward Helm and four sisters: Ruby Cole, Gloria “Dee Dee” Pashia, Blanche Carver, and Viola Helm.
Sylvia was a life long member of the New Offenburg First Baptist Church.
She loved spending time with her family, playing cards with family, working her word search puzzles, listening to county music, family bar B Q’s, and playing dice with her sisters.
Sylvia was an amazing person and will be missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 66-year-old Sylvia “Bebop” Helm of New Offenburg, Mo. will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Basler Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Genevieve Baptist Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
