A private graveside service will be held for 88-year-old Laverne Marjorie Fitzsimmons of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at her home in Sainte Genevieve..
She was born May 21, 1935 in Pocahontas, Mo., a daughter of Elda Fiedler and Eldor Fiedler, who both preceded her in death.
She married to Gerald Fitzsimmons on December 17, 1955. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by: two sons: Jeffrey Fitzsimmons of Arnold, Mo. and Michael Fitzsimmons of Sainte Genevieve; a sister: Mel (belated Glenn) Schaper; two sisters-in-law: Peggy Fiedler and Gail Fitzsimmons; a brother: Edwin “Irvin” (Joyce) Fiedler; three grandchildren: Brian Fitzsimmons, Jr., Steven Fitzsimmons, and Emily Fitzsimmons; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Brian Fitzsimmons; a sister Eldine Engelmann; and a brother: Nelson Fiedler.
Graveside services will be private at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
