74-year-old Melvin “Duke” Whitaker of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
He was born December 30, 1949 in Cynthiana, Kent.
He is survived by two daughters: two daughters: Whitney Whitaker of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and Melonie Whitaker of Cynthiana, Kent.; a son: James (Rachel) Whitaker of Kentontown, Kent.; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mildred (Gilvin) Whitaker; his father: Melvin Whitaker; his mother: Garnetta (Wagoner) Whitaker; and a son: Jeffrey Whitaker.
Duke loved his music and his family.
