Missourians support for abortion ballot initiative soars; campaign raises $3 Million in first two weeks of campaign

Grassroots Advocates Host Events Across the State to Mark Beginning of the Signature Gathering Effort

MISSOURI – In just two weeks since launching a grassroots campaign to end Missouri’s cruel abortion ban, Missourians for Constitutional Freedom has raised over $3 million from more than 2,200 individual contributions. Additionally, more than 5,000 volunteers have joined the campaign to phonebank, door-knock, and collect signatures to get abortion on the ballot and end Missouri’s cruel abortion ban.

“The outpouring of support that we are seeing from Missourians to join the campaign by volunteering, donating, and staying informed confirms what we already knew – Missourians are ready to fight back against political overreach and end Missouri’s abortion ban,” said Mallory Schwarz, Missourians for Constitutional Freedom. “But this is a marathon – not a sprint – and the fight for freedom to make our own decisions about our reproductive health care will depend on continued support for this Missouri-grown effort.”

Missourians for Constitutional Freedom is partnering with organizations and grassroots advocates to host kick off events in five cities across the state on February 6th to mark the start of the signature gathering effort. These events will be held in Columbia, Kansas City, Springfield, St. Joseph, and St. Louis, and participants will learn how to get involved in the campaign and be the first to sign a petition. Missourians may register to attend a local event by visiting www.mobilize.us/mfcf/.

Missourians who attend the events will have an opportunity to be one of the first to sign the petition to end the state’s abortion ban. More information, including how to register, is available at moconstitutionalfreedom.org/
