CHESTER – The Chester Fire Dept was called out two days in a row to fires in Rockwod.
The department was called out to a vehicle fire Friday morning and then Saturday morning for a structure fire.
According to a post on the fire department’s Facebook page, the firefighters arrived at 814 State Rt 3 in Rockwood at 1:32 a.m. to find the structure fully involved.
Chester reported Ellis Grove, Steeleville and Campbell Hill Fire Departments were called out for mutual aid.
Fire was extinguished and turned over to owners.
Chester was back in service 4:33 a.m.
On Friday, the Chester Fire Department was called out to a vehicle fire.
The fire on Ebenezer Rd in Rockwood on Jan 19th was called in at 11:27 a.m.
Firemen arrived on the scene to find a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished, and scene was turned over to Randolph Co. Sheriff Office.
Chester Fire was back in service at 12:51 p.m.
