Alissa Grass named SGHS Elks Student of the Month

STE. GENEVIEVE – Congratulations to Alissa Grass, the Elks Student of the Month for January from Ste. Genevieve High School.

 

 

Alissa is the daughter of Craig and Paula Rose and the late David Grass.

Alissa’s scholastic honors include: being ranked in the top ten of her graduating senior class, earning A Honor Roll each semester, being in the Top 10 percent every year in high school, being awarded Summa Cum Laude, and winning numerous class awards, including English I, Algebra II, and Nutrition and Wellness.

 

Alissa has also been involved in a number of clubs and organizations, including serving as a class officer for four years, and being a member of the following: Student Council, Mentors, National Honor Society, FCCLA, and FRIENDS.

 

She has also held numerous leadership positions in many of these organizations.

Alissa has been a member of the SGHS Speech & Debate and Track teams. Alissa has received numerous awards in track. She has been selected to the academic All-State team numerous times and has been selected to the All-Conference, All-District, and All-State Track teams and has won the Outstanding Field Event award. Alissa has also been a national finalist for her FCCLA Star Event in Nutrition and Wellness.

In her free time, Alissa enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She works part time at Ste. Genevieve County Community Center and River Rapids Waterpark.

 

Alissa plans to attend Saint Louis University to major in physical therapy.
