Boys’ Basketball
CHESTER – Chester defeated the Cairo Pilots 68-53 in the DuQuoin tournament.
The tournament wraps up on Saturday.
PERRYVILLE — Perryville plays in the Woodland Tournament which wraps up Saturday.
PERRYVILLE — St. Vincent lost to Poplar Bluff 88-53 in the Crystal City Tournament which runs through Friday.
The leading scorer for the Indians was Perry Ellis with 14, Max Wheeler with 11, Colton Prost with 11, Jacob Schremp has six, Peyton Strattman had five, Eli Abernathy had three, and Gavin Hotop had three.
The Indians fall to 1-1 on the year.
They play Jefferson for third place in the tournament Friday night.
STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve plays Park Hills Central Friday at 8:30 in the ninth annual Fountain City classic.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic hosts Perryville at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Girls’ Basketball
CHESTER – The Chester Lady Jackets host Carlyle at 7:30 tonight.
PERRYVILLE — Perryville plays at Dexter Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
PERRYVILLE — St. Vincent plays Cuba tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Fredericktown Invitational.
STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve hosts Valle Catholic tonight at 6 p.m. `
Football
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic plays Lamar in the Class 2 Show Me Bowl Saturday, Dec. 2.
The game will be played at 2 p.m. on Faurot Field in Columbia.
Wrestling
STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve boys went 5-0 at Park Hills Central last night while the varsity girls won 40-29. The junior varsity won 13-1.
Ste. Genevieve’s boys and girls teams compete in the Steve Leslie Invitational at Pleasant Hills Friday and Saturday.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle boys were scheduled to wrestle at Festus with St. Mary’s last night, but the score was not reported.
The Warriors participate in the John Bourroughs Tournament Saturday.
