Boys’ Basketball

 

CHESTER – Chester plays in the DuQuoin Tournament which begins tonight and runs through Saturday.

 

PERRYVILLE — Perryville continues play in the Woodland Tournament which runs through Friday.

 

PERRYVILLE — St. Vincent varsity beat Herculaneum 73-60 last night in the Crystal City Tournament which runs through Friday.

 

Coach Bruce Valleroy said the team had only one day of practice following the end of football Saturday.

 

“Most of our kids play football, so they came in Sunday for practice and played real well tonight for the first game of the year,” he said.

 

Max Wheeler led the Indians with 22 points. Jacob Schremp had 21, Wyatt Winkler had 11, Parker Ellis had seven, Peyton Strattman had six, Koden Prost five and Case Huber one. The Indians are 1-0 on the year and will play the winner of the Poplar Bluff-Patriots game.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve beat De Soto 68-36 in the ninth annual Fountain City classic which runs through Saturday. The Dragons next play Friday at 8:30.

 

Girls’ Basketball

 

CHESTER – The Chester Lady Jackets  host Gibault at 7:30 tonight.

 

PERRYVILLE — Perryville lost to Woodland 47-41.

 

The Pirates play at Dexter Dec. 7.

 

PERRYVILLE — St. Vincent is playing in the Fredericktown Invitational which continues through Saturday.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve hosts Valle Catholic Thursday at 6 p.m.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE — Valle Catholic plays at Grandview tonight for a 7 p.m. game.

 

Football

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic plays Lamar in the Class 2 Show Me Bowl Saturday, Dec. 2.

 

Lamar beat Bowling Green 47 – 16 Saturday.
