A funeral will be held Saturday for 98-year-old Isaac “Ike” P Rutherford of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away November 16, 2023 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
He was born November 7, 1925 in Newport, Ark, a son of Isaac P Rutherford and Elsie Mae (Braden) Rutherford who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters: Linda (Bob) Peterson of Bloomfield, Ind., and Diane (Steve Corman) Rutherford of Mesa, Ariz.
He was also preceded in death by his wife: Wanda June (Kempfer) Rutherford and a sister: Helen Flemming.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 and 8-10 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A funeral for 98-year-old Isaac “Ike” P Rutherford of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home. The Clergy will be Rev. Steve Matthews.
Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. with full military honors provided by VFW 2210.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Alzheimer’s Association
Ike enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and model railroads.
He worked for Mississippi Lime as a construction engineer, and he served in the US Army.
