Rick Reed, 71, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 5:43 am, Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Three Springs Senior Living and Rehabilitation, Chester Illinois.
He was born to the late Charles Raymond and Mattie Louise (nee Poole) Reed on September 15, 1952 in Eldorado, Illinois.
Rick married Lois Fromm on April 11, 1980 in Eldorado, Illinois; she survives.
He had worked as a surgical technician at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado and had retired as a medical technician for Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois.
Rick was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #3790 in Chester. Rick enjoyed photography and had been the sports photographer for the Herald Tribune in Chester.
