STE. GENEVIEVE – The Back to School Drive-Thru Fair is back and registration is open. The fair is scheduled for Thursday, August 3, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at SGCMH back parking lot across from the fire department.
“The program has proven to be a big help to parents and students each year,” commented Tina Poston, Marketing director, SGCMH.
Families with students from preschool to high school can get a jump on school supplies. Parents drive up to the back of the hospital through the circle drive to pick up school supplies and other health and educational information. The Ste. Genevieve County Health department will offer information on immunizations.
As in previous years, students will receive a backpack and school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, pens and erasers to give them a start on completing their supply list. And, just like last year they will receive a sack lunch for the day.
The two local school districts will have their mascots at the event to greet the drive-thru participants. Kids who show their school spirit will receive a fun gift.
“It is a great way to help the students in the community get ready for school where the need is greater than ever,” commented Tina Poston, marketing director for SGCMH. Parents and students will drive-up, load up and have a leg-up to start the school year.”
Support comes from community organizations and businesses all over the area including SGCMH Medical Staff, Ste. Genevieve County Health Department, Healthy Blue, University of Missouri Extension Center of Ste. Genevieve County, Heavenly Hope, Missouri Retired Teachers Association and SGCMH Friends Foundation.
Registration is required. To register call 573-883-7791.
