A memorial mass will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 for 44-year-old Bud Graden Rhodes Jr., of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 7:26 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2023 near Waterloo, Illinois.
He was born August 26, 1978 to Bud G. and Grace (nee Kipping) Rhodes, Sr. in Red Bud, Ill. His father preceded him in death, his mother, Grace (Jerry) Garcia survives in Red Bud, Ill.
He is also survived by his three children: Graden Presler of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Austin Hill of Sarasota, Fla. and Jayden LaChance of Smithton, Ill.; his brother: Charlie Helmholt of Belleville, Ill.;
his grandmother: Jacqueline Rhodes of Dupo, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his grandfathers: Bud G. Rhodes and Stanford (Patricia) Kipping and grandmother: Anna Mae Kipping
He had worked as carpenter.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals games, St. Louis Blues games and Detroit Lions games.
He was a talented musician and played the guitar and also sang.
He enjoyed swimming, diving and jumping off cliffs.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill.
A memorial mass for 44-year-old Bud Graden Rhodes, Jr., of Red Bud, Ill. will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Ill. Msgr. Dennis Schaefer will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Red Bud, Ill.
