JEFFERSON CITY — A 19-year-old Morehouse woman suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash Friday afternoon on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Katherine P. Grubbs was taken to Mercy Hospital South by a Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance.
The patrol says Grubbs was the driver of a southbound 2001 Volkswagen Beetle which ran off the left side of the road. Grubbs over-corrected and the car ran off the right side of the road striking a mile marker post and then a rock bluff, eventually overturning and ejecting Grubbs.
The crash happened about 2:57 p.m. at the 150.4 mile marker.
The Volkswagen was a total loss.
