JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC) invites Missourians to learn about the importance of accessible transportation and current gaps that exist for people with disabilities during an online webinar Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 3 p.m. CT.
Ed Thomas, executive director of the Camden County Developmental Disability Resources, and Enjoli Dixon, project associate for the National Center of Mobility Management, will discuss identified transportation needs and next steps to developing mobility options for communities throughout the state of Missouri.

Meet the Presenters
Ed Thomas was born in Monett, Missouri, and grew up in Ozark, Missouri. He became the executive director for the Camden County Senate Bill 40 Board, dba Camden County Developmental Disability Resources (CCDDR), in March of 2012.
Enjoli Dixon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous experience as a grant program specialist with MoDOT-Multi-modal division, as a planner and architect TranSystems Corporation and as the Transportation Chair of KU Wheels at University of Kansas.
MODDC’s Position on Transportation
The MODDC believes accessible, reliable transportation is critical for the state of Missouri. Without accessible, reliable public and private transportation, hundreds of thousands of Missourians – with and without disabilities – cannot access their communities, work, vote, socialize, shop, attend medical and other appointments, or participate in community-based activities and services. Therefore, Missouri should enact and implement legislation, policies and practices that expand transportation options and opportunities for all.
